After the competitions we received
some letters from Russian and foreign
participants with acknoledgements and
gratitudes. There is one of them -

Dear O-Friends,
Many thanks for the wonderful time we had in Lembolovo and
St.Petersburg. How right Lennart Levin was about the terrain. It
is excellent for running. There was never a chance of us winning
any races, but we thought the courses interesting and well
planned. We also thought the opening and closing ceremonies were
good and especially enjoyed the entertainment at the banquet.
Last and by no means least we all loved St.Petersburg. It is a
beautiful city and a wonderful place for the VWC. The only thing
we found quite unexpected was the heat. If it was so hot in
Russia this year, we are worried that next year ( when everybody
comes for the sun at the VWC-96 ) there will be torrential rains.
What a difficult act to follow ! Nevertheless we are
encouraged by the number of Russians showing enthusiasm for the
next year's event in Murcia. We do hope you will all come and
enjoy yourselves here next April and renew friendship made at the
VWC'95.
Again many thanks for your kind hospitality and we hope to
see you all soon.
